Spring Listings Often Attract More Offers

When more buyers are actively searching for homes, sellers naturally have a better chance of receiving multiple offers. And historically, that’s exactly what tends to happen during the spring housing market.

Data from the National Association of Realtors shows that homes listed in the spring months typically receive more offers compared to other times of the year. As buyer activity increases, more people are competing for available homes, which can create stronger interest in new listings.

The reason is simple: spring is when many buyers are ready to move. Families often want to purchase a home and relocate before summer or the next school year begins, which leads to a surge in home searches, showings, and offers during this season.

That doesn’t mean the intense bidding wars seen during 2020 and 2021 will return. However, the seasonal increase in demand can still work in a seller’s favor.

More showings and more interested buyers can translate into better opportunities for sellers, whether that means stronger offers or more negotiating power.

Listing your home during the spring market could help attract more buyers—and potentially more offers—giving you a better chance of maximizing your home’s value.
